Biography

Navindra Soodoo is currently a Mitacs Post Doctoral Fellow in the Department of Biology at Trent University. He completed his Ph.D. at Trent Center for Biomaterial Research Group in the Environmental and Life Sciences graduate program at Trent University in 2022. He also completed his B.Sc. in Chemistry from the University of Guyana in 2016. With five years of research experience in the area of Material Science and Chemistry, Navindra has worked as a Research Intern at the Institute of Applied Science and Technology and a Researcher at the Trent Center for Biomaterial Research Group. His current and previous research interests include Biomaterials, Thermal Energy Storage Materials, Lubricants, and Product Development. Navindra received the Graduate International Scholarship, Research Fellowship Award, Ph.D. Dean's Award and Mitacs Accelerate Grant Award to pursue his research interests. Navindra's dedication to advancing our understanding of Phase Change Materials and Lubricants has led to five publications in top-tier scientific journals.
