Personal information
Biography
I was born in Iran, and I received my bachelor and master degrees in soil science from Tehran University. I completed my Ph.D. in Soil & Physical Sciences Department of Lincoln University, New Zealand, in 2011. After my Ph.D., I worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Landcare Research in Christchurch and Palmerston North, New Zealand, for 1 year and a half. During my stay in New Zealand, I worked on ammonia and nitrous oxide emissions from soils under ruminant urine patches and the effects of biochar amendment on these emissions and plant nitrogen uptake. In September 2012, I moved to Denmark and started to work at Aarhus University. I am responsible for soil carbon monitoring network and soil organic carbon modelling activities in Denmark. I am also involved in the project that monitors the sources of nitrous oxide emissions from Danish arable organic soils from 2014.
