Biography

I got my Bachelor in Biotechnology at the Universita' degli Studi di Perugia (Italy). Afterwards, I worked as a laboratory analyst to process and analyze environmental samples to detect insects and mites that affect human health. I did my MSc in Entomology at Harper Adams University (United Kingdom) and I carried out my master research project on bed bugs at The Pennsylvania State University, as a Visiting Scholar. I am currently doing my PhD in Entomology at the University of Kentucky. My research is focused on histamine excretion by bed bugs, mitigation and health impact of bed bug-derived histamine, and bed bug control.
