Biography

Agricultural Engineer (2009), Master (2010) and Doctor (2013) in Agricultural Engineering from the Federal University of Campina Grande (UFCG). Worked between 2011 and 2015 at the National Semiarid Institute, INSA/MCTIC, as Manager of the INSA Experimental Station (Ordinance INSA/MCTI no. 10 of August 24, 2011). He is Currently Adjunct Professor IV, based in the Department of Agricultural Engineering at the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco, in Recife-PE. At undergraduate level, he has worked on the Agricultural and Environmental Engineering and Agronomy courses at UFRPE/Headquarters, teaching the subjects Introduction to Agricultural and Environmental Engineering, Irrigation and Drainage and Planning and management of water resources. He has been a PQ-CNPq fellow since 2021 and a permanent professor in the Postgraduate Program in Agricultural Engineering at UFRPE/Headquarters since 2015, where he teaches the subjects Salt management in irrigated perimeters and Plants under water and saline stress. He has developed research and published scientific articles in the areas of using alternative quality water in agriculture, brackish water management in irrigation, drainage for salt control, hydroponic crops and irrigation and fertigation management. Regarding people training, he has guided undergraduate, master's and doctorate students; coordinates the activities of the Fertigation and Salinity Study and Research Group (Instagram @gefis.ufrpe)
