Biography

The main interest of my research is to understand the molecular mechanisms that modulate the pathogenesis and immune responses of pathogenic viruses, including the Severe Acute Respiratory Coronavirus 1 (SARS-CoV-1), SARS-CoV-2, human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and Influenza virus. The final aim of my work is to illuminate points of viral vulnerability that may help guide the development of novel antiviral strategies.
