Personal information
Biography
I am working as an assistant professor (currently on study leave) in the Department of Urban and Regional Planning at Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET), Bangladesh. At present, I am pursuing a Master's in Geography and Geospatial Sciences degree at Oregon State University (OSU), USA. My main research interests are in geospatial analysis, remote sensing, urban micro-climate, environmental modeling, and earth system processes. I want to learn more about geography, climate, time, and space through basic and applied research, system digitalization, and modeling using different methods, like machine learning and deep learning, so that planning, decision-making, and functioning can be improved. I am also interested in studying and evaluating how people use the physical space around them. Lastly, the goal is to help make the world a place where careful placement of places makes sure that everyday life doesn't get in the way.
Apart from being a full-time faculty member, I am a student member of the American Geophysical Union (AGU) and American Association of Geographers (AAG). I am also a member of the Bangladesh Institute of Planners (BIP).
