Biography
Our research is about the formation, function and maintenance of brain blood vessels and neuro-vascular interactions in health and disease. We are particularly interested in mechanisms underlying the influence of cerebrovascular function/dysfunction on neuronal development, plasticity and repair. Studying neurovascular interactions is key for a better understanding of neurological disorders, a very promising avenue in the neurobiology of brain & mind health at both basic and translational levels.
Specialties: cerebrovascular physiology, cerebral blood flow, angiogenesis, developmental neurosciences, mouse genetics, stroke, autism, neuroanatomy, imaging, mouse behaviour, electron microscopy.
