Biography

I am an associate professor at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, specializing in restoration ecology and soil science, with research centered on carbon dynamics and sequestration in agricultural and forest ecosystems, soil health management in agroecosystems, restoration and resilience of degraded ecosystems, and the identification and implementation of sustainable agricultural practices and environmental policies. Currently, I co-lead a soil and restoration ecology within the College of Agriculture and Natural Systems, working to advance sustainable agriculture systems. As Vice President for Latin America of the Society for Ecological Restoration (SER), I support restoration efforts across the region and serve as a professor at the Institute for Sustainable Development, dedicated to finding solutions for environmental challenges.
