Biography

Prof. Trevor S. Bird is Principal of consultancy firm Antengenuity and a Distinguished Visiting Professor at the University of Technology, Sydney. He graduated with a PhD in engineering from the University of Melbourne in 1977. He worked in the UK before joining James Cook University in 1978 and CSIRO in 1983. He served as Chief Scientist of the CSIRO ICT Centre from 2004 to 2011. He was appointed a CSIRO Fellow in 2007.
Prof. Bird has received three CSIRO Medals, a Centenary Medal, awarded the 2003 Sydney Division Eng. Aust. Professional Engineer of the Year, and its M.A. Sargeant Medal in 2012.
