Biography

As a medical physicist, I have developed my career in the field of charged particle radiotherapy. I am currently working on a MATLAB-based treatment planning system for proton radiotherapy including inverse planning for passive scattering and active scanning therapies, three-dimensional LET calculation and radiobiological optimization. I have a background in nuclear physics and computer science and experience in ion chamber dosimetry and Monte Carlo simulation with FLUKA and Geant4. My current interests include cost-effectiveness and cost-benefit analysis for charged particle radiotherapy, with the goal of making protontherapy facilities more widely available.
