Biography
Currently based at the Jožef Stefan Institute in Ljubljana, Slovenia, I am focused on advancing medical imaging technology through the development of Cherenkov-based detectors. Previously, during my tenure at the Department of Physics at the University of Zagreb, Croatia, I worked on enhancing PET imaging by pioneering a demonstrator that leverages gamma-ray polarization for improved accuracy.
I am an experienced researcher with a solid background in medical imaging detector development, combining expertise in Experimental Nuclear and Particle Physics, radiation detection, C++, MATLAB, and advanced simulation techniques, including theoretical nuclear models and Monte Carlo simulations.
My academic foundation includes an M.Sc. and M.Phil. in Experimental Nuclear and Particle Physics from Aligarh Muslim University, where my research centered on heavy-ion reactions and associated modeling. I hold a Ph.D. in Nuclear Reactions from The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, where my work contributed to innovative solutions in reactor waste incineration, cross-sectional analyses for next-generation reactor materials, and the development of new production routes for medical isotopes.
