Biography

Elizabeth is a dedicated research scientist and PhD candidate focusing on psychosocial support for people living with chronic health conditions. Currently dealing with early detection, diagnosis, and treatment of breast cancer. With a strong foundation in both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies,
Elizabeth is committed to advancing the understanding of breast cancer and other chronic illnesses such as HIV, Mental health etc. through rigorous implementation studies, including systematic reviews, scoping reviews, cross-sectional studies, and intervention studies.

Driven by a passion for improving patient outcomes, Elizabeth focuses on innovative approaches to support breast cancer survivors, particularly through stigma reduction initiatives. By developing and conducting training programs for breast cancer survivors and traditional healers, Elizabeth seeks to empower these individuals to act as advocates within their communities, fostering awareness and understanding of breast cancer. This includes equipping traditional healers with the necessary knowledge to educate their patients about breast cancer and to facilitate appropriate referral pathways, thereby bridging cultural practices and medical knowledge.

Through a multidisciplinary approach, Elizabeth aims to create a comprehensive framework that supports individuals affected by breast cancer, enhances community health education, and promotes evidence-based practices in diverse settings. Elizabeth's research is not only pivotal in addressing immediate health challenges but also contributes to the broader discourse on health equity and access in cancer care. As Elizabeth continues to explore the intricate dynamics of breast cancer diagnosis and support, the commitment to generating impactful insights remains unwavering, with the ultimate goal of transforming lives and improving health outcomes.
