Biography

I am a PhD researcher at University of Glasgow, focusing on geroscience and cardiovascular disease. My PhD project aims to provide mechanistic insight into the phenotype of premature vascular ageing in hypertension and cardiovascular disease, and to mitigate its effects using senotherapeutics. Experience ranges from RT-PCR, RNA and DNA extraction, gene expression analysis, nested PCR to Western Blotting, cell culture and ELISA. Additional skills include bioinformatics (Firehose, Oncomine, Kaplan-Meier, cBioPortal, VOSViewer) and statistical analysis (SPSS/R)
