Biography

Dr. Syed Ali Raza is a Full Professor of Finance at the Iqra University Karachi, Pakistan. He received his Ph.D. degree in Finance from the Northern University of Malaysia. Currently, he is serving as a Director of Academics at the Iqra University North campus. Prof. Dr. Raza is also a Committee Member of the Ministry of Planning, Development and Reform to develop an Innovative Financing Mechanism under “Ehsaas Program” initiated by the Prime Minister of Pakistan. His wide experience of corporate and Academia has brought a blended knowledge in the area of Finance and Economics. He teaches at the graduate and postgraduate levels. His areas of interest include Quantitative Methods in Research, Energy Economics, Energy Finance, Financial Economics and Corporate Finance. His research work has been published in the world-renowned journals such as Renewable Energy, The Energy Journal, Energy Economics, Tourism Management, Energy Policy, Environmental Science and Pollution Research, Economic Modelling, Social Indicators Research, Current Issues in Tourism, Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications, Quality and Quantity, International Migration, Total Quality Management and Business Excellence, Journal of Business Economics and Management, Studies in Higher Education, Journal of Educational Computing Research and others. The research work of Dr. Raza has been cited more than 4000 times in top tier journals. Prof. Dr. Raza is also a member of the editorial and reviewer board for many international research journals. He is also the Editor of South Asian Journal of Management Sciences, which is highly ranked by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan (HEC).
