Biography
Bernhard Schuster studied Biochemistry and Food Chemistry at the University of Technology Graz, Styria, Austria. He received his PhD with distinction at the Institute of Biophysics and X-Ray Structure Research, Austrian Academy of Sciences, Graz, Austria, in 1995. After a PostDoc at the Center for Ultrastructure Research, University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences, Vienna, Austria and Ludwig-Boltzmann-Institute for Molecular Nanotechnology, Vienna, Austria, he became an Associate Professor in 2004 at the Department of NanoBiotechnology (renamed to Department of Bionanosciences), University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences Vienna, Vienna, Austria. He is Member of the Editorial Advisory Board of the book serial “Advances in Planar Lipid Bilayers and Liposomes”, Elsevier Science (since 2004), Editorial Board Member of the international Journals “NanoBiotechnology” (since 2004; Humana Press), “The Open Nanomedicine Journal” (since 2008; Bentham Science Publishers), and “The Scientific Word Journal” (since 2012), Biomimetics (since 2015), and Membranes-Basel (since 2016).
