Biography

Dr. Salim Belouettar is a distinguished research scientist who has made significant contributions to the fields of mechanics and materials science. His expertise lies in computational modelling and simulation of composite materials, structures and processes, and his research has far-reaching implications for a range of applications, including aerospace, automotive, and biomedical engineering.
Born in Algeria, Dr. Belouettar's passion for science and engineering was evident from an early age. He pursued his academic career with a singular focus, earning his Engineering Diploma in Civil engineering from the ENTPE, Algiers. He then went on to earn his master's s in mechanics and materials science from the University of Lorraine, France.
Dr. Belouettar's aptitude for research and innovation soon became apparent, and he was awarded a prestigious scholarship to pursue his doctoral studies at the University of Lorraine in France. Under the guidance of renowned scholars in the field, Dr. Belouettar delved deep into the intricacies of mechanics and materials science, emerging with a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering.
Dr. Belouettar's research work during his doctoral studies formed the foundation of his research program, which has since expanded and evolved to encompass a range of disciplines and applications. He has held several postdoctoral positions at academic and research institutions in France, Canada, China and the United Kingdom, where he has worked on cutting-edge projects related to the development of advanced materials and structures for a variety of applications.
In 2001, Dr. Belouettar joined the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) as a research scientist, where he has continued to make significant contributions to the field.
