Biography

Dr. Heng-Dong Xi is now a Professor in the School of Aeronautics at Northwestern Polytechnical University in Xi’an. He earned his doctoral degree from The Chinese University of Hong Kong with Prof. Ke-Qing Xia in 2007. After that he worked in the same group as a postdoctoral fellow for about one year. From 2009 to 2012 he worked as a postdoctoral fellow at Max-Planck Institute for Dynamics and Self-organization at Goettingen, Gemany with Prof. Eberhard Bodenschatz. From 2012 to 2014 he was a professor in Harbin Institute of Technology Shenzhen Graduate School. He moved to Northwestern Polytechnical University in 2014. Prof. Xi is specializes in the experimental studies of turbulent flow. He was awarded the Humboldt Fellowship in 2010 and got in the “1000-young-talent program” of China in 2012
