Biography

Marco Tanganelli is Associate Professor in Costruction Design (SSD ICAR/09) since 2009, in the Department of Architecture of the University of Florence. He graduated in November 2002, in 2003 he won a scholarship from the “Ente Cassa di Firenze” titled "Seismic Vulnerability of historic buildings and monuments". In 2007 becomes PhD Doctor (XIX cycle) with a thesis titled "Analysis of three-dimensional seismic performance of reinforced concrete frame structures." In 2007 he won a scholarship for post-doctoral research, offered by the University of Florence, with a research project titled "Prevision of the seismic response of irregular buildings using pushover analysis". Since 2002, he's been studied seismic engineering topics, with specific reference to the evaluation of seismic performance of civil structures existing and no-existing.
