Biography
Since 2004 Dr. Ali has been involved in Clinical & Interventional Cardiac Electrophysiology & Pacing: between 2004 and 2015 at the Arrhythmia & EP Centre, IRCCS (University & Research Hospital) Policlinico San Donato (Milan, Italy); between May 2015 – September 2017 at the Arrhythmia & EP Unit II - Humanitas Gavazzeni Clinics (Bergamo, Italy); between September 2017 and September 2020 at the Arrhythmia & EP Research Center - IRCCS Humanitas Research & University Hospital (Rozzano, Milan, Italy); and since September 2020 at the Arrhythmia & Electrophysiology Center - IRCCS Multimedica Hospital (Sesto San Giovanni, Milan, Italy).
He participated actively in more than 3000 interventional EP procedures (catheter ablation of AF, WPW, VT, SVT), and more than 500 cardiac pacing procedures. He has special experience/interest in the use of EP-Recording Systems, Diagnostic Pacing Maneuvers, Advanced 3D Arrhythmia Mapping. He followed and participated in the early phase of developing the Subcutaneous ICD (S-ICD), obtaining high competence in this novel technology including the implant procedure, device programming, troubleshooting and patient follow-up. He authored and co-authored many scientific publications, conference papers in the field of cardiac arrhythmia, cardiac pacing and sudden cardiac death. He also participated in numerous national and international meetings/congresses as attendee, speaker and moderator.
