Biography

Dr. Claire Craig is Professor of Design and Creative Practice in Health and Co-Director of Lab4Living research group, at Sheffield Hallam University. Her research focuses on the role of design and arts in promoting quality of life, wellbeing and meaningful activity, particularly in the context of people experiencing major life transitions, including dementia. Claire is a qualified occupational therapist and a Fellow of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists, Co-founder of the Design for Health Journal, and the Design4Health Conference. Author/co-author of numerous publications including the books Creativity and Communication in Persons with Dementia (2021) and Discovering Dementia (2021). She has led projects such as Journeying through Dementia (https://www.jtd.org.uk/) or Life Café (https://www.lifecafe.org.uk/).
