Biography
Trevor GrandPre is an alumnus of DePaul University and UC Berkeley where he earned his Bachelor's degree in Physics in 2014 and his PhD in 2021. During his PhD, he developed various tools to improve the predictive understanding of non-equilibrium systems using new tools statistical physics. Since 2021, he has been a postdoctoral fellow at the Center for the Physics of Biological Function (CPBF), and at the Princeton Center for Theoretical Science (PCTS), as well as a Schmidt Science Fellow. His current research at Princeton is centered on investigating membraneless organelles and how they are formed and regulated in living cells which is pivotal for processes ranging from photosynthesis to animal development.
