Biography

Oluwaferanmi is a PhD Researcher at the Centre for Regional Social and Economic Research, Sheffield Hallam University with a research focus on the experience of the Voluntary Sector in employment services. Before starting his PhD, he completed an MA in International Communications and Development from City University of London, graduating with distinction.

Oluwaferanmi holds a BSc and MA in Mass Communication from Joseph Ayo Babalola University and the University of Benin, Nigeria respectively.

Oluwaferanmi is a Communication Specialist with over 5 years of experience working on social impact projects such as the UNODC/EU funded project on Drug use, Dependency, Prevention, Treatment and Care (DPTC). He currently serves as the Social Media Assistant at Housing Studies - an international journal providing a forum for theoretical and analytical developments in the housing field.

With great interest in youth development, Oluwaferanmi co-founded 'Scholars Collab' as an online platform to connect young researchers and prospective scholars to scholarship, research, fellowship, network and mentorship opportunities.

In his leisure time, Oluwaferanmi volunteers as a Campaign Organiser with Christian Aid (UK) where he leads a group of young people on the Climate Aid Campaign. He is equally a Campaign Champion with Save the Children (UK) to advocate for children's rights and safety.

Oluwaferanmi is a recipient of several fellowships and awards such as the YALI RLC program and UNLEASH Innovation Young Talent
