Biography
Cristina Pablos is Assistant Professor of Environmental Science at Rey Juan Carlos University; and responsible for the biological assays of Water Analytical Laboratory (LAGUA) at the same University. She has been visiting researcher at the Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering, University of California (Riverside, USA); Instituto de Desarrollo Tecnológico para la Industria Química (Santa Fe, Argentina); NIBEC (Nanotechnology & Integrated BioEngineering Centre) building, Engineering Research Institute (ERI), School of Engineering, University of Ulster (Jordanstown Campus, Newtownabbey, Belfast, UK); and BioTeC+ (Chemical and Biochemical Process Technology and Control), KU Leuven (Gent, Belgium). She has been working in photocatalytic processes for 10 years, especially in wastewater disinfection with reusing purposes. She has taken advantage of her microbial skills and knowledge in Advanced Oxidation Processes to get involved in innovative researching areas focused on the development of novel emerging food safety technologies and biofilms inactivation. As a result of this research work, Cristina Pablos has been involved in 20 research projects, 29 (Q1) and 5 (Q2) scientific journals and 3 chapters from 2 books have been published, and 51 contributions to scientific national and international congresses have been accepted. She has also been supervisor of 27 undergraduate students and master thesis and 4 PhD students ongoing.
