Biography

Diego Villanueva-Mejía currently works in the Area of Natural Systems and Sustainability, School of Applied Sciences and Engineering at EAFIT University. Diego is an M.Sc and Ph.D. in Biotechnology with more than 20 years of experience in Biological and Biotech research applied to agriculture and the environment. Diego has experience in Molecular Biology applied to plants, bacteria, and insects, as well as developing genetically modified and edited plants, genomic sequencing, protein modeling, gene expression analysis, and plant tissue culture
