Biography

Tien Dzung Nguyen was born in Hanoi, Vietnam in 1970. He received the B.S. degree in Technical University of Sofia, Bulgaria and M.S. degree at School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (SEEE) from Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST), Vietnam, in 1996 and 2000, respectively. In 1997, he joined SEEE at HUST, where he is working as a teaching assistant. In 2005, he conducted his Ph.D in the Department of Electronic Engineering at Kyungpook National University, Taegu, Korea. Since 2010 he has been an associate professor with SEEE at HUST. His main research interests include digital image and video processing; biomedical image processing; intelligent transportation system; computer vision-based application development for navigation and operation of rescue robots.
