Biography
Héctor Núñez holds a PhD in Educational Sciences and is a Serra Húnter Professor in the Department of Theory and History of Education at the University of Barcelona. His research focuses on participatory evaluation processes of socio-educational programmes, educational work with youth and community action. He has participated in national and European research projects and he has developed research stages in the Universities of A Coruña (Galicia) and Ottawa (Canada).
As a social educator and pedagogue, he has professional experience in the child and adolescent protection system and in the socio-labour insertion of young people, both in Non-Governmental Organizations and in the regional government of Catalonia. He is a member of the Research Group in Social Pedagogy (GPS) for the inclusion and social cohesion at the University of Barcelona and member of the Ibero-American Society of Social Pedagogy. He also collaborates as a lecturer at the Universidad del Norte in Colombia.
