Biography

Dr Binoy Sarkar has been involved in environmental research addressing both evolving and interlinked sustainability issues around soil and water. His research has led to significant advancements in knowledge about the roles of introduced and native minerals in capturing atmospheric carbon dioxide and sequestering carbon in soil, and in the remediation of contaminants. His research is underpinned by the fundamental principles of soil science, environmental bio-geochemistry, and applied clay mineralogy.
