Biography
Raimundo Elías Gómez completed his Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral degrees in Social Anthropology at the National University of Misiones in Argentina. His initial Postdoctoral Research concluded in 2018 at the National Autonomous University of Mexico. Currently, he holds the position of Integrated Researcher at the Faculty of Letters, University of Porto, Portugal, supported by a Marie Sklodowska-Curie Fellowship from the European Union (Project: 101102978 SSpaceGX, "Social Space and Nature Conservation in the Gerêz-Xurés Transboundary Biosphere Reserve [Portugal/Spain]"). Concurrently, he also serves as a Research Assistant at the National Council for Scientific and Technical Research in Argentina (on leave). He has authored numerous articles in academic journals, contributed to several sections of books, and co-authored a couple of books, among other scholarly publications. His primary research areas mainly encompass ecological anthropology with a focus on spatial and quantitative methodologies. Predominant terms within the context of his scientific and technological output include "protected natural areas," "social space," "physical space," "social inequalities," "nature conservation," "climate change," "sustainable development," and "spatial economics," among others.
