Biography
Alejandra Caqueo-Urízar was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Harvard University. She obtained a PhD in Clinical and Health Psychology from the University of Barcelona and a Master's degree in Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychopathology from the Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona. She is a Clinical Psychologist accredited by the Chilean Society of Clinical Psychology.
Dr. Caqueo-Urízar has been awarded FONDECYT projects and in her career she has published more than 140 WoS articles. Her line of research is related to the study of psychosocial factors linked to the quality of life of patients with schizophrenia and their families, being her main areas of interest: Schizophrenia in ethnic minorities, epidemiology of mental health, social determinants of mental disorders and health-related quality of life.
She is currently a tenured professor at the Universidad de Tarapacá in the city of Arica and Principal Researcher of the Psychosocial Inclusion Line of the Educational Justice Center of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
