Biography

Ms. Franco obtained her PhD in Psychology, while working at the Institute for Health and Behaviour within the Department of Behavioural and Cognitive Sciences of the University of Luxembourg.

Ms. Franco studied psychology at the University of Luxembourg and completed exchanges at the University of Québec-Chicoutimi (Canada) and the University of Bamberg (Germany). In 2020 she completed her Master of Science degree in Psychology with a focus on psychological intervention.

While completing her studies at the University of Luxembourg, she started working freelance with autistic minors and gained training and experience in different therapeutic techniques which inspired her for her scientific research.

In September 2020, she started her Ph.D. studies under the supervision of Dr. Andreia Costa, in which she explored the relationships between social skills, emotional ability, multilingualism, and parental well-being in autistic children in Luxembourg. Simultaneously she contributed to the project: Academic Success in Autism: The impact of emotions and multilingualism (ASA).

Ms. Franco obtained her degree as "Docteur en Psychologie" in October 2024 and is employed as clinical psychologist by the Centre Hospitalier Neuro-Psychiatrique au Luxembourg since September 2024.
