Biography

Soy licenciada en Ciencias Químicas (1990) y doctora en Química Analítica por la Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha (1996). En 2003 obtuve la plaza de profesora titular de universidad en el área de Química Analítica en la misma universidad. He realizado estancias postdoctorales de investigación en el Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC) y en la Universidad de Montpellier (Francia) donde llevé a cabo diferentes estudios con electroforesis capilar con detección por fluorescencia inducida por láser y validación de métodos analíticos espectrofotométricos, cromatográficos y electroforéticos en muestras clínicas, ambientales y alimentarias. He dirigido 6 tesis doctorales y 10 trabajos fin de Master. Fruto de todos estos estudios han sido la publicación de 64 artículos científicos en revistas internacionales recogidas en el JCR y 65 comunicaciones presentadas a eventos científicos nacionales e internacionales. He participado en 20 proyectos de investigación en total, tanto nacionales como regionales abordando líneas de investigación relacionadas con el desarrollo de métodos analíticos para la determinación de numerosos fármacos de interés sobretodo anticancerígenos en fluidos biológicos. En dichos métodos estaban implicadas diferentes técnicas de separación acopladas a varios sistemas de detección.
He estado involucrada en lineas de investigación relacionadas con automatización, simplificación y miniaturización de procesos analíticos. Actualmente me encuentro trabajando en dos proyectos de investigación relacionados con la integración de nanomateriales en procesos de medida químicos para fomentar el desarrollo de la nanociencia y en nanotecnología analítica en el estudio de parámetros ambientales y de control de alimentos.
He impartido enseñanza en varias asignaturas en el Grado en Química, Tecnología de Alimentos e Ingeniería Química. También ha impartido clases en cursos y másteres organizados por la Universidad de Castilla - La Mancha como
Personal Docente e Investigador de la Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha, adscrito al Departamento de Química Analítica y Tecnología de los Alimentos.
