Biography

Markus Meindl (1993) studied electrical engineering at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU), where he received his M.Sc in 2021 and is finalizing his PhD in 2025. He was a Research Associate and Doctoral Candidate at the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Systems and Device Technology (IISB) and the Institute of Power Electronics at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU). Since 2025, he has been a group leader at IISB. His research interests are sustainable hybrid-electric aircraft systems, power electronics, improved utilization of electrical machines, medicine technologies, and innovative technologies in general. Markus is (co-) author of more than 10 scientific papers and two patents in two field families.
