Biography

Dr. Raul Moral Herrero (07-31-1967), doctor in Chemistry. 26 years of teaching and researching activity in UPV & Miguel Hernandez University since 1994; professor position from 2010. >150 papers in SCI journals, 15 in non-SCI journals, 18 books and 13 book chapters, with 175 congress communications.
IP of GIAAMA Research Group.
Principal supervisor of 14 PhD students and 40 Master theses. Founder of the Master REC on Management, Treatment and Valorization of Organic Wastes (EEES adapted) organized by the Miguel Hernandez University of Elche and supported by the Spanish Composting Network.
Main research areas are: a) Characterization of organic matrices including innovative ones (insect frasses, organic farming inputs, biochars, etc.), b) Composting of solid and liquid wastes, c) nutrient recovery and biofertilizer development, d) zero waste demonstration projects in farming facilities; e) Circular Economy: Evaluation of its use in environmental, economic and technological terms.
