Biography
Dr. Amani Adidja is a Public Health Physician, Vaccinologist, Lecturer, and Researcher with over 15 years of professional experience in public health and international development. Currently, she is the Regional New Vaccines Introduction Officer at the World Health Organization Regional Office for Africa . Prior to this position she worked as part of the Global COVID-19 Vaccine Delivery Partnership COVDP (WHO UNCICEF , GAVI)where she coordinated Covid 19 vaccination roll out .
Dr. Adidja has an impressive track record in developing, designing, and implementing public health programs, with in-depth knowledge of health emergencies and vaccination/other public health interventions.
With extensive experience working with national governments, the private sector, and Non-Governmental Organizations, Dr. Adidja has successfully implemented public health programs in 23 Sub-Saharan African countries, including crises and post-conflict environments.
Dr. Adidja is also an accomplished researcher, with a track record of publications at senior authorship level in academic journals with more than 30 peer-reviewed or technical publications.
As a fluent speaker of both English and French, Dr. Adidja has been able to effectively communicate and collaborate with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds. Her ability to work in multicultural and multilingual environments has enabled her to establish productive relationships with individuals and organizations across the region.
