Biography

Marius H. Smit (B.Com LLM PGCE PhD) is a professor in Education Law, an attorney (incl. notary and conveyancer) and qualified educator. He teaches Education Law modules to graduate, honours and masters students at the Faculty for Education Sciences, North-West University.
He has published widely in academic journals and chapters in 19 books in the field of Education Law. He has served as a member of four school governing bodies, the chair of the provincial council of the Federation of South African School Governing Bodies (FEDSAS) and as member of the Executive Committee of the South African Education Law Association (SAELA).
