Physicist, she is in the permanent research staff of CNR IPCF since 2002. Her research interests are mainly focused on colloidal nanocristalline structures, on their organization in ordinate assemblies and on the development of nanocomposite and hybrid materials. Her expertise covers optical, morphological and structural characterization of semiconductor and hybrid nanostructures to be used in optoelectronic and energy conversion. She has been responsible of a 7th European Framework Program project and of a Regional Project for CNR IPCF Bari and has been involved in several National and European Projects in the field of Material Science and semiconductor nanostructures. She is also active in tutorial activities and as evaluator and reviewer of European and International projects. She is co-author of 8 book chapters, of more than 100 papers on JCR journals and contributed to many conferences. She is a member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Nanomaterials.
