Biography
Yawen Wang is an Assistant Professor of Research in the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department at the University of Texas at Arlington. He received his B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Chongqing University, and M.S. and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from University of Cincinnati. His research interests include gear noise/vibration, vehicle NVH (noise, vibration and harshness) and electrified powertrain systems. He is presently the associate director of the Hypoid and Bevel Gear Mesh and Dynamic Modeling Consortium and leading the development of HGSim software package for industry sponsors including American Axle, Ford, General Motors, Daimler, Chrysler, Caterpillar, Linamar, John Deere, Toyota, Honda, Hyundai, Meritor, Dana, etc. He currently serves as a member of ASME Power Transmission and Gearing committee, and is a member of SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers), ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers), and INCE-USA (The Institute of Noise Control Engineering of the USA).
