Biography

Dion Antao is currently an Assistant Professor in the department of Mechanical Engineering at Texas A&M University (College Station). He received his B.Tech. (Hons.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Jamshedpur, India, in 2007, and his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Drexel University, in 2009 and 2013, respectively. He worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate and subsequently as a Research Scientist in the Device Research Laboratory (DRL) in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His current research interests include nano-to-macroscale heat transfer, fluid mechanics, interfacial phenomena and scalable micro/nanoscale materials, for the application space of energy conversion (conventional fuels and solar), electronics thermal management and water purification.
