Biography

Dr. Mehmet Basaran received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in electrical and electronics engineering from Istanbul University, Istanbul, Turkey, in 2008 and 2011, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in electronics and communication engineering from Istanbul Technical University (ITU), Istanbul, in 2018, where he was a Research Assistant. He was a Visiting Researcher with RWTH Aachen University, Aachen, Germany, in 2017 in the context of the FET EU Horizon 2020 Project. He was an R&D Operations Manager at ITU Vodafone Future Lab between 2018 and 2021. He was a 5G Research Professional with Siemens Turkey between 2021 and 2023. He is currently a 6G Senior Researcher with Turkcell. His general research areas mainly include next-generation communication systems and signal processing for wireless communications.
