Biography
Graduated from the Department of Archaeology, Faculty of History, Vilnius University, with a Bachelor's degree in archaeology (1994) and a Master's degree in archaeology (1996). In 2009, she defended her doctoral thesis at the same university on the topic ‘The Sociocultura Dynamics in Selonia region, in the 1rd–13th Centuries)’.
From 1995 to the present she has been a research fellow at the of Department of Archaeology of the Lithuanian Institute of History.
Since 2009 she has been a lecturer at the Faculty of History of Vilnius University. Member of the editorial board of the peer-reviewed scientific journal ‚Lietuvos archeologija’ (in 2008–2010, the editor-in-chief). Expert and member of expert committees of various scientific and heritage protection institutions.
The main research interest is landscape archaeology, iron archaeometallurgy, soil geochemical methods in archaeology, archaeological prospection
