Biography

Ms. Morine Mukami Ngarari is a dedicated and an accomplished Research Scientist in the Mariculture division at the Kenya Marine and Fisheries Research Institute (KMFRI). With a strong academic background in natural and environmental sciences, Morine is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Environmental Studies at Karatina University, Kenya. She is also an expert in Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and Remote Sensing. Morine is a passionate aquaculturist who has made significant contributions to the field for over 15 years. She has successfully executed numerous aquaculture-related projects, demonstrating her expertise and commitment to the industry while collaborating with national, regional, and international partners. Throughout her career, Morine has honed her skills in project management and teamwork, as evident from her successful project implementations. She possesses a remarkable ability to manage complex tasks and work efficiently in demanding environments. Moreover, Morine has actively sought professional development opportunities and has participated in various training programs. She understands the importance of networking and has actively sought to expand her professional connections by attending more than 15 professional conferences, seminars, and workshops, enabling her to enhance her knowledge, exchange ideas, and establish valuable collaborations. With her pragmatic approach and strategic mindset, Morine excels in focusing on key issues and achieving results aligned with national goals and priorities. She possesses the ability to make critical decisions and drive forward progress in challenging circumstances. Her dedication, expertise, and professionalism make her a valuable asset to the aquaculture industry and contribute to the advancement of sustainable marine and fisheries research and development in Kenya.
