Biography
Julian Friedland is Associate Professor and Coordinator of Ethics and Social Responsibility at Metropolitan State University of Denver College of Business. He was previously assistant professor at Trinity College Dublin, visiting assistant professor at George Washington University and Fordham University, and instructor at the University of Colorado at Boulder/Denver.
His current research and consulting services lie in three interlinked areas: 1. Social impact strategy, 2. Leveraging moral self-awareness as an incentive, and 3. New means by which the reflective mind may be activated through ethical AI choice architectures.
His work has appeared in a range of books and international journals including Academy of Management Perspectives, Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Organizational Behavior, MIT Sloan Management Review, California Management Review, and Journal of Management Inquiry. He has also written for national magazines and newsprint including the New York Times, Irish Times, Boston Globe, Chronicle of Higher Education, Humanist, Philosopher's Magazine, and The Conversation.
