Biography
Richard Sutton is Emeritus Professor of Clinical Cardiology at National Heart & Lung Institute, Imperial College, London, UK. He graduated at King's College Hospital in 1964 and was awarded DSc, London in 1988. He has been Consultant Cardiologist at Westminster, St Stephen's, Chelsea & Westminster, Royal Brompton and St Mary's Hospitals 1976-2011. He is now Honorary Consultant Cardiologist at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. He has received American College of Cardiology Governor's Award 1982, Heart Rhythm UK Lifetime Achievement Award 2007 and Pioneer in Cardiac pacing and Electrophysiology, Heart Rhythm Society 2016. He has published >400 scientific papers in peer-review journals, he has been Editor-in-Chief of Europace 1997-2006, now Founding Editor and written/edited 6 books. He was Training Director, London NW Cardiology 1996-2011. In March 2017 he became Guest Professor of Cardiology at University of Lund, Sweden.
