Biography
I am a lecturer at the University of Essex. I am interested in sex and sexual orientation differences in sexual arousal and their behavioral correlates, with a specific focus on their developmental origins. My research on sexual arousal relies on the measurement of genital arousal via penile plethysmography and vaginal photoplethysmography, and the measurement of pupil dilation, in response to a range of explicit sexual stimuli. My developmental work relies on biomarkers; primarily the finger length ratio (2D:4D), as rough proxies for androgen exposure during the prenatal period.
