1. For the first time in the world, Sarohan's study found that retinol (vitamin A) was low in COVID-19 patients.
2. He introduced retinol depletion and retinoid signaling defects in the pathogenesis of COVID-19 to the medical literature.
3. It also clarified the pathogenesis of autoimmune and inflammatory diseases with retinoid signaling defects.
4. He was part of the research team that discovered that the STRA6 and GPCR receptors were binding receptors for the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein.

He continues his studies on the relationship between autoimmunity, endometriosis, early menopause, pregnancy poisoning, recurrent miscarriages, and implantation failure in IVF applications, with dysregulation of the immune system and retinoid signaling.
