Biography
I am an applied statistical geneticist and biostatistician specializing in multi-omics integration for precision
medicine. Currently, I am the Statistical Geneticist and Lead Biostatistician in Cardiovascular Medicine at
Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC), a Harvard Medical School teaching hospital.
I earned a PhD in Public Health Genetics from the University of Washington, followed by postdoctoral
training at Harvard (machine learning and bioinformatics), the University of Bristol (Mendelian
randomization), and City of Hope (breast and ovarian cancer research). My expertise spans causal inference,
statistical genetics, and large-scale multi-omics research, with a focus on pipeline development and
translating genetic discoveries.
Beyond academia, I was a Principal Scientist at Teal Omics, an aging research biotech startup, where I
guided R&D and applied advanced statistical and computational methods to multi-omics datasets. I also hold
a unique triplet of master’s degrees in applied linguistics (MA), humanist chaplaincy (MTS), and genetic
epidemiology (MPH).
