Biography
I am passionate about wetlands and their origin, dynamics and landscape setting in which they occur. Such understanding is important if we are to protect and/ot use them wisely, because short-term responses are often set within natural processes that operate over long time scales (centuries to millennia). A key factor that is most widely overlooked is related to how the hydrological regime interacts with landforms to create wetlands - largely through weathering, erosion and clastic, chemical or organic sedimentation.
