Biography

Dr Martyna Gliniecka is currently a Social Sciences Specialist at CASE – Center for Social and Economic Research. She received the Doctor of Philosophy degree from the Institute for Culture and Society of Western Sydney University. Her research focuses on youth health-related discussions on Reddit’s teenagers’ subreddits. She is looking at digital health practices in online communities as a part of youth-led digital health. Prior to commencing doctoral studies in social sciences, she received a PhD in linguistics from the University of Wroclaw, Poland and is now applying her knowledge from linguistics in the sociological inquiry. She previously worked as a research assistant in projects of the Young and Resilient Research Centre at Western Sydney University.
