Biography

I am an Australian-born researcher, living in Milan. I have a PhD in Information Systems and a PhD in Music – one from the northern hemisphere, one from the southern hemisphere. The two are worlds apart.

I usually write about I.T. and digital media. My recent articles discuss the metaverse, blockchain-based shadow markets, and digital ID. In my second life, I make microtonal music. My first European concert piece was performed at the Muziekgebouw in Amsterdam on an instrument that has 31 notes to the octave instead of 12.
