Biography
My research activity has been focused over the years on clinical neurophysiology and the use of neurophysiological techniques, including transcranial magnetic stimulation, and electrophysiological approaches investigating brainstem and spinal reflexes. Areas of specific interest have been the mechanisms of synaptic plasticity in primary motor cortex, cortico-cortical connectivity, somatosensory temporal discrimination in healthy humans and in patients with movement disorders, and mechanisms of action of botulinum neurotoxin in neurological disorders.
